libnetpbm9-dev software package provides Development libraries and header files (v9), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libnetpbm9-dev
libnetpbm9-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libnetpbm9-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libnetpbm9-dev *
You will get with libnetpbm9-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
